Swoop now flies to Los Cabos! This spot has everything you need to have the amazing adventure trip you’ve always dreamed of. Here are a few great options to explore while you’re there.
If you need a break from the beach, there’s plenty of great local hiking trails in Los Cabos to help you stay fit and have fun! You can take a day trek up Mt. Solmar and then head down to the secluded Divorce Beach – don’t let the name scare you off, it’s very pretty! While you hike you can enjoy the view of the beautiful coastline. If you want a more challenging vacation adventure, traverse the canyons in Sierra La Laguna. If you don’t want to venture out on your own, you can also join a guided tour.
Nobody wants to come back from vacation without a nice tan, and Los Cabos has plenty of great sandy options to choose from. If you want to cut loose and knock back some genuine Mexican margaritas in the sun, then Playa El Medano is where you should be. This two-mile-long beach is littered with bars and restaurants that can tend to your love of libations and is the centre of the social scene all year. Or, if you’d rather have a little peace and quiet so you can get your bronze on without being bothered, head over to Widow’s Beach – it’s a long-time favourite of the locals which is always a great sign!
If you’re a foodie who happens to love sharing what and where you eat, then you’re in luck. The locally caught shrimp, lobster and octopus are incredible and very photogenic, and many restaurants import steak and pork from neighboring states within Mexico. And, if you want to couple that delicious food with a beautiful view, try El Farallon in the Capella Pedregal Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. Their signature surf and turf combo dinners look great even without filters!
Need to let your competitive spirit out, or just shake off last night’s shenanigans? It’s time to hit the links, and Los Cabos has plenty of them. The Palmillo Golf Club is the first course in Latin America designed by Jack Nicklaus and features incredible views of the Sea of Cortez from every hole. Alternatively, the Puertos Los Cabos Golf Club features a unique design that combines two of golf’s greatest living legends, Nicklaus and Gary Player.
Did you even go to Mexico if you didn’t dip your toes in the ocean? Before you head home, give kayaking in the crystal-clear bay of Santa Maria a shot. Or, if you’d rather try and find Dory – or Nemo, but let’s be honest, you’re looking for Dory – go for a snorkel in Pulmo Marine Park. And finally, trying your hand at surfing is always a fun (and maybe humbling) way to spend your day!
