Five Activities in Cancun you absolutely cannot miss

As if you need anything other than a Pina Colada, some sun and a pool to have a great time in Mexico, here are a couple things that can make your vacation that much better.

1. Xcaret Park

   This nature park in Playa del Carmen has more than 50 natural and cultural attractions including an underground water stream, coral reef aquarium, butterfly pavilion, Mayan ruins, wildlife and much more. You can dive into the calm waters of the nature pools or just relax on the beach and bathe in the warm sun. You will fall in love with the horse exhibition, the Dance of the Flyers Ceremony, and pre Hispanic performances. Here you will find an appreciation for the culture and nature of Cancun, Mexico.

2. Tulum Mayan Ruins

   Built in the late thirteenth century during what is known as the Mayan post-classic period. This is a perfect day trip for those who are looking for a little more than relaxing at the beach. Don’t worry, you can still catch some beach time at the Mayan Ruins private beach. The 784-metre enclosed limestone wall once had 600 people living inside the protective walls. There are gift shops and authentic restaurants to enjoy after your explorations.

3. Chichen Itza

   This is another great day trip that you can take if you wat to get away from the resort and site see. Recently, this tourist attraction has been claimed one of the new seven wonders of the world. Making it a truly amazing experience and something you can check off your bucket list. Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and some water because it can get hot walking around all day.

4. Cancun Underwater Museum

   The underwater museum is unlike anything you have ever seen before. With over 470 underwater statues you won’t believe your eyes. This is another major tourist attraction in Cancun and is well-worth the visit. This is a unique way to explore artificial coral reefs, marine life and unique underwater statues. This attraction is now home to the biggest artificial reef in the world.

5. Ventura Park

   Ventura park is the perfect place for you and your family to spend the day. There is something for people of all ages. This park offers tons of exciting activities including a full-size water park, ziplining, go-karts, virtual reality, dolphins and so much more. The water park is filled with tons of exciting activities including water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools.
