Swoop now flies to Los Cabos! This spot has everything you need to have the amazing adventure trip you’ve always wanted. Here are a few hot options for you to explore while you’re there.
If you need a break from the beach and want sweat out the buffets, there’s plenty of great local hiking to help you stay fit and have fun! You can take a day trek up Mt. Solmar and then head down to the secluded Lovers & Divorce Beach – don’t let the name scare you off, it’s very pretty! While taking that trek you can enjoy the view of the beautiful coastline along the way. If you want more of a challenging vacation adventure – to each there own – traverse the canyons Sierra La Laguna. If you don’t want to venture out on your own you can hitch a ride on a guided tour.
Nobody wants to come back from vacation as pale as when they left, and Los Cabos has plenty of great sandy options to choose from. If you want cut loose and knock back some genuine Mexican margaritas in the sun, then Playa El Medano is where you should head. This two-mile-long beach is littered with bars and restaurants that can tend to your love of libations and is the centre of the social scene all year. Or, if you’d rather have a little piece and quiet so you can get your bronze on in without being bothered, head over to Widow’s Beach – also very pretty – it’s a long-time favourite of the locals which is always a great sign, and a great place to relax and sweat out the vacation calories.
If you’re a foodie who happens to love sharing what and where you eat, then you’re in luck. The locally caught shrimp, lobster and octopus are incredible and very photogenic, and many restaurants import steak and pork from neighboring states within Mexico. And, if you want to couple that food-Insta with a view-Insta, try El Farallon in the Capella Pedregal hotel in Cabo San Lucas. Their signature surf and turf combo dinners tend to look great even without filters!
Need to get your competitive sprits on, or just shake off last night’s shenanigans? It’s time to hit the links, and Los Cabos has plenty of them. The Palmillo Golf Club is the first Jack Nicklaus designed course in Latin America and features incredible views of the Sea of Cortez from every hole. Alternatively, the Puertos Los Cabos Golf Club features a unique design that combines two of golf’s greatest living legends, Nicklaus and Gary Player. Either one is guaranteed to help get everyone in a great mood and raring to go.
Few things can be as calming as getting out on the ocean. Before you head home to the work grind, give kayaking in the crystal-clear bay of Santa Maria a shot. Or, if you’d rather try and find Dory – or Nemo, but let’s be honest, you’re looking for Dory – go for a snorkel in Pulmo Marine Park. And finally, (attempting) to shred the gnar can always be a good (humbling) way to spend your day! These are just a few examples of the many incredible activities you can take part in to get the most out of your vacation. There are plenty of others that will let you have some serious fun in the sun!
