What made you want to become a FA?
I always wanted to become a Flight Attendant ever since I graduated high school in 2007. Back then it was super hard to get into the aviation industry. One day I saw a posting for a FA position on Swoop's website. I applied and magically got the job within a couple of days.
What advice would you give to a new FA or someone interested in this career?
At Swoop, we undergo a four-week intense training, three of which are spent in class and the last week you use aircraft simulators. There you get the chance to fight live fires, practice hands-on First Aid, and experience what to do and how to react in an emergency.
What do you always do when you get to a new city?
First things first- I shower! What I do prior to getting to the new city is check out Google and see reviews on what to do and where best place to have a cold beverage is.
What is your favourite part of your job?
My most favourite part of my job is seeing the excitement on our travellers faces and hearing their stories of visiting their families after years apart and how they wouldn’t have been able to do this without Swoop.
What are some other career opportunities that interest you?
Maybe one day I’ll be Lead Flight Attendant, but I'll have to get over my fear of talking on the speaker first haha. I also wouldn’t mind being a line check-in.
What is your favourite Swoop destination?
My favourite Swoop destination would have to be Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
What does safety mean to you?
Safety is a very important part of the job. We’re always committed to delivering travellers to their destinations safely.
