8:00am - Wake up. At least 8:00am. We have a very busy day so no time to waste!
8:45am - lakeside run/walk.
Take in the beauty of lake Michigan and get in some exercise and fresh air - you may need it later! The lake's biking and walking paths wind for kilometres. We'd recommend a good 5km to start what will be a day filled with calories.
10:00am BRUNCH at Hutch
We're starting our day by heading towards Wrigleyville, because yes, our perfect summer day involves a baseball game. Hutch is a perfect pre-game stop to fuel up before your big day, conveniently located about a ten minute walk from the stadium. The bistro boasts a wide-ranging brunch menu and some amazing cocktail deals.
12:00pm - SPORTS!
The game may not start for an hour, but it's good to be early when there is so much to see and do in Wrigleyville. This neighbourhood is arguably one of America's best, when it comes to embracing and celebrating sports. Around the stadium you'll find discount souvenir shops, more restaurants, bars (to check out after the game) and a highly engaged fan zone right outside the gates. Arrive early, take in the scene, and then if it's your first time at Wrigley Field, make sure you get your first-timers certificate from Guest Services.
4:00pm MUSIC AND GAMES
Just a short walk away from the stadium lies The Cubby Bear, one of Chicago's top post-game destinations. Live music, arcade games, batting cages, and more can be found at this lively haunt. Extend your stay in Wrigleyville for a few hours and take in the some fun.
6:00pm TACO TIME
Round out your busy day on one of Chicago's liveliest patios. Conveniently located in one of Chicago's new and hip hoods, there's a reason Federales is always so busy. The margaritas are sublime and the tacos topped with lime.
