Instructions on how to cancel your Swoop Getaways

Your Swoop Getaways is powered by Expedia therefore, you would have to cancel flights and hotels separately. Please note that not all flights are eligible to cancel for Swoop Credits and not all hotels are refundable. Check the terms and conditions of your booking which can be found in your confirmation email.

Domestic (Canada) Flights

Flights within 72 hours

Are your travelling within Canada in the next 72 hours? There are currently no restrictions on domestic travel. Keep an eye out for your 24-hour check-in email.

Flights within 3-14 days

Are you travelling within Canada in the next 3-7 days? There are currently no restrictions on domestic travel. Pay a flight change fee if you want to make changes. For more information visit our Travel Terms and Conditions page.

Flights more than 14 days from departure

ModiFly allows for a one-time change of time and/date per direction. For more information on ModiFly and instructions on how to add it to your booking, click here.

Transborder and International Flights

Flights for travel before October 24, 2020

Do you have a travel reservation with Swoop to the U.S. and/or Mexico for travel before October 24, 2020? You are eligible to cancel your flight for Swoop credits.

Log in to Manage My Bookings with the First Traveller's name and booking reservation number. If you can't find the booking number, check you confirmation or junk mail.

Northbound Flights after March 22, 2020

Currently, we are operating a reduced network with regular service to Hamilton, Edmonton, Abbotsford, Halifax and Montego Bay. Later this summer, we'll be releasing an updated Fall and Winter schedule that is anticipated to expand domestic, transborder and international service.

On Monday, March 23, 2020, we will start repatriation flights for all our Swoop travellers. Currently, we have arranged 15 flights over 3 days to bring the more than 2,300 travellers home.

We will be providing regular updates on all our channels and are reaching out directly to these impacted travellers via email with more specific information.

Cancelling Hotel

Step 1: Retrieve your Swoop Getaways Email

Find your confirmation email with Swoop Getaways. The subject line of the email should include the Itinerary number (no letters).

Step 2: Click "Go To My Itinerary"

In that email, click "Go To My Itinerary" and you will be led to a webpage powered by Expedia.

Step 3: Click "Change Hotel" or "Cancel Hotel"

There are two options, you can either change or cancel your hotel. If you decide to cancel your hotel, you will be prompted to confirm and will receive details on the amount (if any) that you'll be receiving as a refund. Please note that not all hotels are refundable. Check the terms and conditions of your booking which can be found in the confirmation email.
