COVID-19 Information Center

We are here to keep you safe and comfortable, at every step of your journey

There's a lot to be aware of when travelling right now and we understand it can feel overwhelming. COVID-19 has changed many things, but it hasn't changed our number one priority; safety. We follow guidance from the Public Health Agency of Canada to maintain a clean and safe environment for all. If you have a flight coming up soon, here's everything you need to know about travelling with Swoop. We're here to guide you with a helping hand to get you on your way.

Entering Canada

As of January 7, 2021, all travellers on inbound flights to Canada from the United States, Mexico or Jamaica will be required to provide written or electronic documentation that they received a negative or residual positive test for COVID-19 before boarding their flight. Domestic travellers do not need a test.

On September 7, 2021, the Government intends to open Canada's borders to fully vaccinated travellers at least 14 days prior to entering Canada and other specific requirements. As of August 9, 2021, the Government plans to allow fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents to enter Canada for non-essential travel who also meet the requirements. For more information, helpful documents, and answers to frequently asked questions, please refer to this page.

Travelling Within Canada

If you are travelling domestically, you currently do not need proof of vaccination or a COVID-19 test, however, you do still need to wear a mask. Some provinces do not allow discretionary travel and/or require you to self-isolate for 14 days upon entry. Please check with the province you are travelling to for their latest requirements here.
