How do I change my flight?

Flight changes are not allowed, so double check your dates before you book. If you already booked and now need to change your flight, you will have to cancel your current booking and rebook. More info

What is a personal item?

  1. A personal item is a small item of luggage that must fit in the sizing device and under the seat in front of you.
  2. Examples can include purses, laptop bags, briefcases, small backpacks, tote bags, etc.
  3. Max size: 41cmx15cmx33cm (16”x6”x13”)
  4. If your personal item exceeds this size, you will be required to purchase a carry-on or checked bag at the airport counter or gate.

How can I add bags to my upcoming flight?

There are three ways to add bags to your existing booking:

  1. The best way to add bags to your booking is to visit manage my booking up to 24 hours before your flight. To access your booking, have your reservation code ready.
  2. You can add bags when checking in for your flight online, 24 hours before your flight.
  3. If you are the last minute type, you can still purchase bags at the airport, but bag prices are cheaper online.

Seat selection - Do you have to purchase? What happens when you don’t?

You are never required to purchase a seat. This is your flight to customize any way you want. If you don't purchase a seat online, you will be randomly assigned a seat during check-in and you will then see your assigned seat on your electronic boarding pass. If you would like to guarantee the entire group sits together or for a little extra legroom, we recommend purchasing a seat. More info

Can I change or add seats to my existing reservation?

Absolutely. You can change, upgrade or purchase new seats through "manage my booking", or "online check in". If you are upgrading your current seat, you will only pay the difference in price between your current seat and your new seat. Have your reservation code ready.

Will my children be seated beside me automatically?

We will do our best to ensure children under 12 are seated with at least one accompanying adult. We cannot guarantee an entire family will be seated together.

How do I check-in and get my boarding passes?

You can check-in within 24 hours and up to 1 hour before your flight. Make sure to have your reservation code ready and check-in on the Swoop app or visit our online web check-in.

Once you have finished checking in, you have the option to save your boarding pass in the Swoop app, or you can email, print or download your boarding pass from web check-in. Be sure to have your boarding pass accessible when at the airport. More info

How do I check my flight’s status?

Check Flight Status on the Swoop app or visit "Flight Status" on our website to check the status and details of your Swoop flight.

Do you allow pets on the aircraft?

No pets are allowed on Swoop flights, except for service animals and emotional support animals. More info

Can I book over the phone, or in person at the airport?

You CAN'T book in person at the airport, but you CAN book online for free up to 1 hour prior to flight departure, or you can call the Swoop Contact Centre. There is a fee of $15 + applicable taxes for booking over the phone.

Do you serve food and drink during the flight?

The last thing we want is a hangry traveller on board our flights. We do have an inflight menu with plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover on Swoop flights. We DON'T accept cash on board.

What can I use the Swoop app for?

The better question is, what can't you use it for. You can check-in for your flight, manage your profile, check flight status and view itinerary details. You can also book a flight or manage your flights all through the app.

Last but certainly not least, you can access our Swoop Stream inflight entertainment system, where you can access hundreds of hours of movies and TV shows. Download the swoop app through the Apple iTunes Store for Apple devices, or the " Google Play Store for Android devices

Is there entertainment onboard?

Not only is there entertainment onboard, but for a limited time, we are offering FREE TV and movies. Download the Swoop app to access the Swoop Stream inflight entertainment system to watch hundreds of hours of content and access inflight WiFi. WiFi is available for purchase.

How do I connect to Swoop Stream once onboard?

Smartphones and tablets

  1. Go to Settings and turn on airplane mode.
  2. Enable WiFi on your device. Connect to the Swoop Stream hotspot.
  3. Open the Swoop app and tap on ‘Connect’.
  4. Choose your entertainment or Internet option from the menu.

Laptop computers

  1. Enable WiFi on your laptop and connect to the Swoop Stream hotspot.
  2. Open your preferred browser and navigate to SwoopStream.com
  3. Choose your entertainment or Internet option from the menu. Internet is available at cruising altitude.

If using a laptop you may receive a prompt to download the Flash plug-in when playing movies or TV.

What devices and browsers does your website and Swoop app support?

The Swoop app supports:

  1. Android 5 or newer
  2. iPhone or iPad (iOS 10 or newer)
  3. Laptops can access Swoop Stream inflight entertainment while on board, but not the Swoop app (Mac OS 10.6 or newer, Windows 7 or newer).
