ModiFly is now included free for all new bookings (more than 7 days from departure). This allows for a one-time change of the time and/or date of your flight per direction.†

We got your back! For existing bookings more than 7 days from departure, add it for FREE in Manage My Bookings. You can log in using your reservation code to add ModiFly for free to your booking. This allows for a one-time change to the time and/or date of your flight per direction up until 24 hours before you depart.†

How do I add ModiFly?

ModiFly can be added at the time of initial purchase, just after seat selection for free. ModiFly can only be added to bookings made directly through FlySwoop.com. ModiFly is only available for bookings made more than 7 days before departure.

ModiFly can be added to an existing reservation (including Swoop Getaways bookings) through Manage my Booking for flights departing in more than 7 days. ModiFly cannot be added to Group Bookings.

How do I use ModiFly?

Redeeming ModiFly

ModiFly can be redeemed through Manage My Booking - login using your reservation code and last name up to 24 hours prior to departure of the original flight. You must add ModiFly for free during initial booking or add it to your booking for free through Manage my Booking more than 7 days before departure in order to redeem it.

ModiFly only applies to date and time changes. ModiFly cannot be used to change a flight to a different destination, and is not applicable to change passenger names.

If any fare difference exists between the originally purchased flight and the new flight selected, the following may apply:

  • If the fare on the new flight is higher than the fare paid at the time of booking, travellers must pay the difference in fare.

  • No credit or refund will be issued if the fare on the new flight is lower than the fare paid at the time of booking.

  • The new flight must be confirmed at the time of redemption for all travellers.

Optional Swoop extras purchased at the time of booking such as seat selection, checked baggage, carry-on baggage and advanced boarding will transfer to the new flight if available. For more information, see the travel terms and conditions.

For travellers who have purchased a seat for an infant, all ModiFly terms apply for the infant's seat. ModiFly cannot be redeemed should the infant capacity limit be reached on the new flight.

Travellers booked on flights between Canada and the United States, Mexico and Jamaica, scheduled to operate from March 14 - July 31, 2020, have been contacted directly by email with instructions on how to cancel for Swoop Credit. Canadians still in the United States, Mexico and Jamaica after Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. will be contacted regarding repatriation flights.

For one-way bookings, same restrictions apply). | Taxes, fees and APPR surcharge are applicable on all flight segments. | ModiFly provides the opportunity to make a one-time change to the departure time (including same-date or alternate date) or return time (including same-date or alternate date) of a directional booking under the following conditions:

(a) Auto-selected for travellers on the ‘extras page’ only at initial booking with rate clearly communicated in booking flow ($0). | (b) Only available on new bookings for a travel date that is greater than 7 days from initial booking. | (c) Must be redeemed more than 24 hours before segment departure; |(d) Change is available for flight(s) of the same origin and destination points only, ModiFly does not entitle the traveller to change their itinerary origin or destination, only the intended time(s) or date(s) of travel between the same city pair. ModiFly must be applied to each length of a booking and each traveller.
