Coronavirus updates. Learn more about Swoop's response.
Beginning on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at 11:59 p.m., we will suspend all our international and transborder flights. This suspension follows Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s announcement imposing travel restrictions for all flights entering Canada to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The suspension will be in place until May 31, 2020.
We will be providing regular updates on all our channels and are reaching out directly to these impacted travellers via email with more specific information.
Sunny Los Cabos is a resort area on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula's southernmost tip. There are two parts in the region: Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. These two cities are on either side of The Corridor, a 20-mile (32-km) road encircled by world-class resorts and championship golf courses. Fly with Swoop to dance or shop in uplifting Cabo San Lucas or go for a more traditional experience on the old streets of San José del Cabo. Be sure to enjoy how close Los Cabos’ is to the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, which separates the peninsula from mainland Mexico.
Book low cost flights to Los Cabos directly with Swoop, Canada's ultra-low fare airline. We make travel affordable, easy and accessible so you can spend less on the journey and more at your destination.
Stepping out from the Los Cabos Airport, there are a couple of options to travel from the airport to downtown. Hotels have shuttles from the airport however, some make multiple stops at different hotels or won’t depart until the shuttle is full. Other options include booking with two major bus companies Autotransportes Aguila and Eco Baja Tours to book a guaranteed shared shuttle service. Don’t like sharing? Hire a taxi with Los Cabos Airport Taxi service ahead of time to avoid fees using other taxi services. Ball out with VIP transportation with luxury suburban vehicles and limousines. For more information visit Los Cabos Airport’s website.
Make sure to exchange your currency to pesos before visiting Mexico. Often if you purchase something in U.S. dollars, you’ll receive Pesos back at a bad conversion rate. You can also take a bus instead of a taxi to save money to travel between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, many of the buses are modernized and have air conditioning.
There are three main areas in Los Cabos to visit, San Jose Del Cabo, The Corridor and Cabo San Lucas. Did you know you can’t swim in a lot of the beaches in Los Cabos because of their stong waves and undertow? The Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach are two swimmable beachers, make sure to double check and ask around for which beaches are safe to swim in.
