This means Chubb will not cover claims relating to any inability to travel, decision not to travel, changes to or interruption in travel plans, nor any other expense, including medical expenses, incurred due to COVID-19. It is important that you read the policy’s terms, conditions and all exclusions to understand how the coverage will apply. You may cancel your policy for a full refund within 10 days of purchase provided it is prior to your scheduled flight and a claim has not been incurred. After this 10-day period, the policy is non-refundable.

How do I purchase travel insurance?

Travel insurance is available to purchase either at the time of initial booking or through Manage my bookings. Please note, Medical Insurance can only be offered to Canadian residents who do not reside in Quebec, are under the age of 65 on the date of departure, are travelling for no more than 30 days on a round-trip ticket to a destination outside of Canada.

What do I do if I change my travel plans?

If you purchased Emergency Travel Medical Insurance and the length of the trip has changed (e.g., from 4 days to 5 days), you are required to call Chubb at 1-866-573-5375 to ensure your coverage aligns with your trip. Otherwise, there is no need to call Chubb; your insurance policy will automatically apply to your new travel dates.

If you purchased Flight & Baggage Insurance, there is no need to call Chubb; your insurance policy will automatically apply to your new travel dates.

Can I cancel my insurance?

You may cancel your policy for a full refund within 10 days of purchase provided it is prior to your scheduled flight and a claim has not been incurred. After this 10-day period, the policy is non-refundable.

Are group bookings eligible for travel insurance?

Group bookings are not eligible for the above insurance products. Please check with your group bookings representative for options.
