Health & Safety when travelling on Swoop

Ready when you are

At Swoop the safety of our travellers, crew and aircraft is always our top priority. In response to COVID-19, we remain uncompromising in our commitment to providing a safe travel and work environment.

Air travel looks a little different these days, as we, along with our airport and industry partners implement enhanced measures in support of social distancing, limited contact and rigorous sanitation.

Here’s a look at what you can expect when you fly Swoop.

Our Commitment to Cleanliness

In addition to thorough grooming between flights, our aircraft undergo a professional deep cleaning overnight, which includes the sanitation of all onboard surfaces using a process called fogging. Fogging uses a safe, hydrogen peroxide-based disinfecting solution to quickly and effectively sanitize all onboard nooks and crannies.

The air inside the cabin is replaced every 3-4 minutes and is made up of 50% fresh air and 50% recirculated air that passes through hospital-grade HEPA filters that are highly effective, removing more than 99.9% of particulates like viruses from recirculated air.

What to expect at the airport

At the airport you’ll notice enhanced safety measures like increased cleaning, hand sanitizer stations and social distancing markers. Checking in online beforehand can help limit points of contact at the airport, and it’s a good idea to arrive earlier than usual, to allow more time for check in, bag-drop and security.

A reminder that masks are a must anytime a social distance of 6 feet is not possible. Bring a mask from home or pick one up at check-in for a minimum $2 donation in support of The Frontline Fund. 100% of proceeds raised in the community, stay in the community supporting local health care workers and hospital foundations in the fight against COVID.

What to expect at the boarding gate boarding a Swoop flight

When boarding a Swoop flight, you will be required to wear your mask and undergo a voluntary non-contact temperature check. This additional screening has been introduced to further reduce the risk of exposure, ensuring those travelling are healthy and fit to fly. It is important to know that no personal data is stored.

What to expect onboard

When we welcome you onboard you’ll notice our crew wearing different types of Personal Protective Equipment. Please pack your own snacks and bring a water bottle to fill up past security as there will be limited onboard service.
